History and bookmarks

Pages you visited or bookmarked in Chrome show up in the bar as you type, and addresses complete themselves like in Chrome's address bar.

Find a page you visited

Type part of a page's title or address, at least 2 characters. Matching pages appear in the main search, labeled Web Page or Bookmark at the right, with the page's icon and its address below the title.

Press ↵ (Open in Browser) to open the page in your default browser.

Address autofill

Type the start of a site you visit and it completes in the field.

Type the start of a site you've visited, like git, and the field completes it to github.com. The site becomes the top row.

KeyWhat it does
↵Opens the site's home page, or the top-level page you visit most there
⇥, → or EndAccepts the completion into the field, so you can keep typing
⌫Removes the completion and keeps what you typed

Autofill starts at 2 letters and stops once you type a space. When several sites start the same way, the one you visit most wins.

Where pages come from

Saiki reads the history and bookmarks of every Chrome profile from Chrome's own files on your Mac, so Chrome doesn't need to be open. When you open the bar, Saiki checks whether those files changed and reads them again in the background if they did.

Settings → Browser shows what it found under Connected: your Google Chrome profiles and how many pages History and bookmarks holds.
