Menu bar

Saiki's S in the menu bar shows when an agent needs you or your Mac is being kept awake. A click opens the Menu Bar Panel, and a right-click opens its menu: the bar, Settings and your agents.

The icon

Saiki has no Dock icon. Its only permanent place on screen is a small S near the right end of the menu bar. The icon can show two small marks:

MarkMeaning
Orange dot, top rightAn agent is waiting for you: a permission to approve or a question to answer.
Small ring, bottom rightKeep Awake is holding your Mac awake.

Point at the icon to see a short summary, like how many agents need you, how many are working, and whether the Mac is being kept awake.

The menu

Right-click the S (or ⌃-click it) to open its menu. A plain click opens the Menu Bar Panel instead; with the panel turned off, any click opens the menu. If you've set a right-click to toggle Keep Awake, it does that rather than open the menu. From top to bottom:

Keep Awake

See Keep Awake for how it works with the lid closed.

Open SaikiOpens the bar, the same as your hotkey.
Settings… ⌘,Opens Settings in the bar.
Permissions…Opens the Permissions screen in the bar. See Install and permissions.
Check for Updates…Asks whether there's a newer Saiki. See Updates.
Quit Saiki ⌘QQuits Saiki. Your hotkeys stop working until you open it again.

Hide the icon

Turn off Settings → General → Startup → Show in menu bar. The S disappears at once; Saiki keeps running and your hotkeys still open the bar.

Without the icon, open Settings with ⌘, in the bar, or type settings. Type permissions for the Permissions screen, agents then ⇥ for your agents, and quit to find Quit Saiki.

The mic mute icon

Separately from the S, Saiki can show a red, crossed-out microphone in the menu bar while Mic Mute has every microphone off. Click it to turn them back on. Switch it with Settings → Sound → Show in the menu bar while muted; see Sound.
